Rare and very special silkscreen print with letterset poem by Milwaukee notable!
Appears to me that Jim Gibbon (believed to be the loved, veteran Milwaukee Journal reporter and Sports Editor) wrote a short note/poem to Schomer regarding his thoughts on Schomer's cow art. Appears that Shomer took that poem, set it to type and silkscreen printed his cows on rice paper to create a dynamic statement.
Piece is attributed to Jim Gibbons, and signed by both Gibbons and Lichtner - including Lichtner's iconic stamp icon.
New acid-free mat and wood frame. In excellent condition - only Schomer's glue has yellowed in 4 spots - minor.
Part of a large collection acquired from very close friends of Schomer and Ruth.
