Lewis Kern lived and exhibited in Milwaukee, WI - during the 1940s and early 1950s.
He married fellow artist Teedy Wons in 1943 and they had a daughter.
In 1950, he exhibited in the 36th Annual Exhibition of Art and lived on No. Astor St in Milwaukee - per an Exhibition label. Two years later in the 38th Annual Exhibition he was the top award winner with a painting. He was a member of the Wisconsin Painters and Sculptors group.
Sometime in the early 1950s they moved to Denver, Colorado wher they worked as neon light desgners. It appears he later moved to Minneapolis and created beautiful jewely with his wife.
He was a talented painter, sculptor, and craftsman.
