Antoinette attended the Layton School of Art and graduated in 1932. She met Charles Thwaites (an instructor at Layton) and they later married.
Antoinette was affiliated with the WPA (Work Progress Administration – New Deal Artists Act) and Wisconsin Painters & Sculptors Organization.
Her works are part of the private collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
