I have no ethereal philosophy about the acts of painting or creating, as I’m compelled to experiment with all media. Whether I’m painting a flower or bird, a reflective object, or a landscape, or layering disparate objects in Assemblage, Collage, and interactive art books, it all stimulates and inspires me, sometimes to the point where I can hardly contain my enthusiasm.
Marcia Hero began her art career as a young student for several consecutive summers, at the Milwaukee Art Museum. She studied oil painting, as a young adult, at the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico, and continued to paint while living in San Salvador, El Salvador in Central America. After returning to Milwaukee, she studied Fine Art at Mount Mary College, and has studied under local artists Pamela Scesniak, James Hempel, Fred Bell, and Lorin Willey.
