Harold Woodford Pond

HW Pond was born in Appleton, WI and studied at Lawrence College in Appleton, Wisconsin. He later studied at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.

A painter, teacher and designer, Harold Pond lived in East Orange, New Jersey and spent time in New York City where he was a member of the Salmagundi Club and member and exhibitor with the American Artists Professional League.  In the mid 1960s, he taught art in Sloan's Lake, Colorado. 

Among exhibition venues were the Art Center of the Oranges, 1945 (prize, New Jersey); Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, 1939; Irvington Art & Museum Association; Millburn-Short Hills Art Center; Montclair Art Museum and American Artists Professional League.
