DIED: Feb. 28, 2011, Ann Arbor, Michigan

Margo Miller studied at the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee and graduated in 1934. She was a very talented artist specializing in oil and water color painting, and pastels.

After graduation (in 1935), she married fellow Layton student / sweetheart, Forrest Flower and they had two sons - Tim (1936) and Dean (1938).  

Their closest friends included artists Schomer Lichtner, Ruth Grotenrath, Betty and Ray Redell, Otto Bielfeld, Dave Logan, Carl Priebe, Geritt Sinclair, and Santos Zingale.

Margo and Forrest divorced in 1946 and she started teaching art at Milwaukee-Downer Seminary for Girls. Shortly thereafter, she earned her B.A. degree at Wisconsin State Teacher's College (now the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee).

Forrest Flower died in 1948 and in 1950, Margo moved to Ann Arbor, MI with her two young boys. She taught art in the Ann Arbor public school system, mostly at the elementary school level. Margo never returned
