Ellaâs Delicatessen was known for its wonderful collection of toy trains, gadgets and especially the carousel in its parking lot. When children would eat in the restaurant they would receive a token for the carousel. What a treat to ride after a fun meal.
Sparking recollections of my childhood, over 100 candid shots of this carousel were captured on a late August evening. The collection of images was the base for this creation.
Ellaâs Delicatessen is now closed and the carousel is sold. I hope children will still be able to ride the colorful horses. Memories like this are precious.
