The West Bend Theater dates back to the golden age of Hollywood. A fine example of Art Deco design it has been through many incarnations. It was converted into a multi-screen movie house in the 1970â, closed in the early 1990âs and recently slated for demolition.
An astute group of West Bend citizens thought the theater worth saving. After the purchase was finalized, I asked to do a photo shoot in the theater. Most of the interior had been removed or was in poor condition. It didnât matter. Good models and a ton of imagination would solve that problem.
The theater is re-imagined to what it might have been in its heyday.
