Its magic hour. The sun is moments away from setting in the west, yet my attention is drawn to the explosion of color and texture on the eastern horizon. This cloud dances above a mature corn crop awaiting harvest. It bursts before my eyes, bathed in the rapidly changing light. Think 100 image time lapse compressed into a single frame capturing the colors, character and structure of an erupting cloud. I am in love with and influenced by the great French Impressionists. This image pays homage to those who see the world as they did then, as I do now.
