Agnes Wainwright was born in 1905 to Ernest and Olive Lydia (Vreeland) Wainwright

She participated in the WPA /WAP Art programs and in 1945 was hired as the first full-time Curator of Art at the Neville Museum in Green Bay Wisconsin.

She was also a member of the Art Colony in Green Bay, and exhibited widely.
