Artist Biography:

My formal education is comprised of horticulture and greenhouse/nursery management. I was employed in this field until I retired.

During my horticulture career I began painting, but only after retirement did I devote all my time to this endeavor. I found interpreting botanicals was what I liked best. I express my ideas using a mixed media of: acrylic paint, wire, glass, beads, paper, fabric and foils in collages resembling nature. Through much of my work I focus on botanicals.
