(1887, Jackson City, WI – 1979, Waupun, WI)
William H. Boose’s early life was marked by a conglomeration of jobs in San Francisco, Seattle, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. However, in 1913, he married Nellie Ammel, first cousin to Ambros Ammel, rural artist. Soon after, they moved to a farm in Waupaca County and he began oil and watercolor painting in the evenings.
