“FUN SHO” AT GALLERY OF WISCONSIN ART JAN. 6 - 4-7pm.

FEATURES OVER 50 ARTISTS – PAST & PRESENT

Leave the stress of 2017 behind and welcome 2018 with a big, bright smile at the Gallery of Wisconsin Art. The “Fun Sho” opens this Saturday, Jan. 6th from 4-7pm, and will run through Saturday Feb. 27th. Curated with one goal in mind, it will make you smile (maybe even laugh) and demonstrate that art is not all about heavy, serious subjects.

This group show features artwork by over 50 artists, past and present. Contemporary artists step up with creations in all media, including over 20 metal welded sculptures by Mr." Spectacular Sculpture" himself - Paul Bobrowitz. At the same time, check out the lighter side of early Wisconsin painters, featuring a number of whimsical paintings by Schomer Lichtner, Robert Hodgell, and others. Whether you have the innocent humor of a child or the dark comicality of a cynic, there is something for everyone to grin about!
